Musician Andromeda
Headphone amplifier Pure Class A Balanced
The Andromeda headphone amplifier from Musician is based on a completely balanced architecture in pure class A. It is able to drive headphones with an impedance of 15 to 600 Ohm and offers an impressive signal / noise ratio of up to 131dB on its balanced output.
A robust output stage as well as an on-board regulated linear power supply allow it to deliver a clear and precise signal for your most power-hungry headphones (3.8W under 32Ω / 350mW under 600Ω).
Its most elegant aluminum casing matches with the graphic line of the Musician devices and will fit ideally with a Pegasus DAC from the same manufacturer.
ALPS volume control
A rotary button on the front panel can be used to control the main volume of the device. This function is provided by an ALPS potentiometer offering precise setting of the output level while preserving all the musicality of the signal.
The whole interface of the Andromeda comes down to the volume potentiometer and a power button. All of the secondary functions - like the selection of the input current - are automatic.
Linear power supply
The Musician Andromeda has its own regulated linear power supply stage based on a toroidal transformer crystal copper. This integrated power supply stage avoids noise caused by variations in the electrical network in order to limit imperfections liable to affect the dynamics of your music.
The type of toroidal transformer as well as the general layout of the power supply stage have been designed to offer a level of performance proportional to what most of the most advanced headphones of the moment are capable of delivering.
An aluminum dissipator ensures proper heat dissipation to deliver consistent and stable audio performance under all circumstances.
