The Singxer SA-1 V2 is a complete, high-performance headphone amplifier and preamplifier based on Class A architecture and fully balanced discrete circuits. Version 2 of the Singxer SA-1 features an optimized circuit design for lower output impedance and greater thrust.
Singxer SA-1 V2: a completely analog headphone amplifier
Completely analog, no EMI interference caused by digital control disturbs the audio signal. ROHM input transistors ensure very low noise and excellent performance. The output stage uses multi-stage current amplification, similar to that found in a high-power amplifier. Each channel incorporates 2 pairs of ON Semiconductor 4A transistors to ensure sufficiently low internal resistance and high output power. These circuits also incorporate comprehensive protection against overcurrent, overload and short-circuit, as well as thermal protection, DC protection and turn-on time delay.
Singxer SA-1 V2 inputs and outputs
The SA-1 V2 also features a full range of connectors. Inputs include unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR. For headphone outputs, the amplifier offers balanced 4.4mm jack and 4-pole XLR, and unbalanced 6.35mm jack. On the preamplifier output side, the SA-1V2 offers an unbalanced RCA output and a balanced XLR output.
Singxer SA-1 V2: gain switch, source selection and resistance (Ohm)
To adapt to all types of headphones, whether high-sensitivity or high-impedance models, the SA-1 V2 offers gain selection (low or high) via a bipolar switch on the front panel. A second switch selects the source (RCA or XLR). A third switch selects the impedance resistance mode for headphone outputs: LOW-Z is low resistance mode, HI-Z is high resistance mode. On the preamplifier outputs, the unbalanced output impedance is 22.5 ohms and the balanced output impedance is 45 ohms.
