A powerful hybrid amplifier

Using a pair of 12AU7 tubes and a Class A transistor buffer, the TA-22 is capable of developing a power of 3000mW in balanced output and 1500mW in single-ended output, offering a soft and warm sound reproduction, characteristic of this type of amplification. It is thus able to drive both high sensitivity headphones and high impedance headphones while ensuring a beautiful musicality.

A high performance DAC

The TA-22's converter stage features a balanced architecture with two ES9038Q2M chips, ensuring high precision and clarity, perfectly complementing the tube amplifier system. These chips also allow the TA-22 to support high-resolution audio streams, up to 32bit 384kHz PCM and DSD256, as well as to render MQA files. The conversion circuitry is also equipped with a pair of low phase noise oscillators to provide a clean clock signal to minimize jitter.

Bluetooth 5.0

In addition to a complete connectivity, the TA-22 offers a Bluetooth 5.0 reception thanks to its Qualcomm 5125 chip, so it is possible to broadcast and control your music remotely, from a smartphone or a tablet for example. This receiver supports aptX HD and LDAC codecs for high quality wireless playback.

neutral sound with very good stock tubes, rolled nos RFT 12au7 from 1960 east germany made. more relaxed sound with more extended highs.

très bon son
je l'ai acheter pour sa sortie tubes , car mon ampli rotel manquait de matière dans les medium sur les voix , problème résolu avec ce préampli très bien fini . Et comme toujours depuis plusieurs années un très bon service de la part de toute l'équipe audiophonics. Compter toujours un rodage plus ou moins 100heures , attention quand un appareil ne fonctionne pas pendant quelques jours il faut refaire un petit rodage de quelques heures surtout en hiver.

Perfect
Beautiful, well-finished device, numerous connection possibilities and top-notch features.
Getting started is very easy. I had a little problem with mine unit because voltage switch at the back was placed at 110V instead of 220V when arrived. I didn't pay attention and burned the fuse.
After week of listening impressions are great. Mine Audeze LCD-2 sounded like never before. I can only compare this amp with Unison Research SH sound wise, but Unison lacks power to drive LCD-2 properly.
With this device max volume I needed (on most quiet recordings) was 45 out of 100.
I am pretty sure reviews that will come out will point that this device does not have perfect measurements and I can tell you, I don't care. I didn't by this amp to read charts and numbers but to listen to music.
It sounds great with stock tubes. In a couple of months I will probably replace them with other tubes (something like PSVANE 12AU7-S which you can buy at Audiophonics) , which will probably sound even better.
I am more than satisfied with this purchase, which I can recommend.
