With the Cosmos, E1DA offers a high-end balanced ADC, whose analog-to-digital conversion stage is based on an ES9822Pro chip. It uses only high quality audio components to provide outstanding performance and measurements. The input is either balanced stereo XLR or balanced 2.5mm jack. For output, the Cosmos is equipped with a USB-C port, also taking care of powering the device and supporting a PCM stream up to 32bit 384kHz. The intelligent design of the ADC allows it to achieve an extremely low level of noise and distortion.

E1DA also provides the Cosmos Tweak software for Windows, through which it is possible to control the levels of harmonic distortion, the interpolation filters and the integration parameters of the ADC.

The bottom side of the device also conceals a DIP switch attenuator with 8 sensitivity levels, from 1.7V to 10V. Each sensitivity value has a different input impedance.

On the side of the USB-C output, two LEDs allow to indicate, by their blinking, the sampling rate of the flow (48kHz = 1 flash/2s, 96kHz = 1 flash/s, 192kHz = 2 flash/s, 384kHz = 3 flash/s). The color of the LEDs indicates the operating mode of the device (stereo: green, mono: blue).

All Cosmos ADCs are calibrated by the manufacturer. When using the Cosmos Tweak software, it is strongly advised to make a copy of the calibrated product values before any modification.

Great product !
If you want to seriously get into measurement but you can not afford kilos of money, go buy it !

Be aware of the Zin, for small signal it starts around 600Ohm, but THD+N of 140dB is there !

With a really good osc (janascard dot cz, another great piece of hardware) I don't have any harmonic ! just noise floor around -140dBFS (with 16384 fft points).

only 2 minor concerns:
- I hate usb-C , it is not harsh enough...
- same for the jack if you want to convert amplifier outputs

So it's really a great product !
