The iFi Audio iPurifier 2 SPDIF is a small interface that functions as an EMI/RFI filter, galvanic isolation and reclocker. It provides you with a clean audio signal for improved playback.

Most consumer devices, such as televisions, TV boxes or consoles, but also DACs or CD players, have SPDIF outputs. These can suffer from low quality transmission due to high jitter. The iPurifier 2, thanks to its ultra-fast 10MHz femtosecond clock, cancels the jitter for a precise and transparent restitution. A galvanic isolation limits the impact of interference on the signal and therefore the noise generated.

The iPurifier 2 SPDIF is compatible with DTS, Dolby Digital, DoP and DSD signals. It supports PCM streams up to 24bit 192kHz.

On the connector side, there is an Optical and Coaxial combo on mini-jack. For the outputs, the iPurifier 2 SPDIF is equipped with a Coaxial connector and an Optical mini jack connector, both being usable simultaneously.

How it works

The signal passes through four stages: isolation, regeneration, memory buffer and reclocker. This assembly provides a clean signal, promoting a very high quality sound reproduction.
