Digital Interface USB I2S SPDIF 32bit 768kHz DSD512
The Matrix X-SPDIF3 USB digital interface allows your computer, smartphone or tablet to easily transmit a high-quality digital audio signal to your other digital audio devices, transmit in asynchronous USB mode, and convert a USB input to optical, coaxial, AES and I2S LVDS output. Compared to the previous generation, the I2S LVDS output of this version is now isolated to suppress noise from the USB input. In addition, the X-SPDIF3 supports high-resolution streams, up to 32bit 768kHz PCM and DSD512.
With its two Accusilicon femtosecond oscillators as a reference clock source, the X-SPDIF3 is capable of reproducing your music with great precision. These operate at 44.1kHz, 48kHz and their multiples respectively. The onboard FPGA automatically performs frequency division and switching control. It is also powered by an independent low noise LDO so that the signal integrity is not affected.
The Matrix X-SPDIF3 can be configured to four types of I2S LVDS interface definitions by flipping the switch on the bottom of the unit. This allows it to accommodate many devices that also use the I2S LVDS format.
The switch on the underside of the chassis also allows the X-SPDIF3 to be configured with two different clock output modes, again to allow it to accommodate the widest range of devices.

The X-SPDIF3 is equipped with a DoP conversion function, capable of converting DSD DoP codecs to Native DSD and then output via I2S LVDS. This feature allows for easy conversion of DSD codecs, and provides a new solution for DACs that only support Native DSD.
The Matrix X-SPDIF3 can be powered directly through its USB input or through an external power supply (sold separately). The latter is particularly useful when you use the device with a device whose power supply capabilities are low, such as a smartphone or tablet for example. It offers greater stability of power supply.
In order to achieve the best electromagnetic shielding performance and to reduce the effects of mechanical vibrations, the X-SPDIF3 uses a CNC machined aluminum chassis. A robust housing that also gives this interface a clean and modern look.
