Audiophonics is proud to present its DAC board ready to be integrated in your projects. We have based ourselves on a sure value, a CS8416-CZ chip from Cirrus logic for SPDIF reception, coupled with a reference in the field, the PCM1796 converter from Burr-Brown.
This DAC card allows to convert a digital signal with a sampling frequency from 32 to 192KHz and this in 16 or 24 bit. The version 1.1 of this card includes now 2 SPDIF inputs, one optical TOSLINK and one Coaxial. The analog output is always present on the small white connector.
Great care has been taken with the analog output, it features 3 high end OPAs OP275 mounted on socket. The capacitors around the signal are all MKP and the resistors are Vishay DALE. The power supply capacitors are of high quality, 9x Panasonic FC 1500µF and Panasonic OSCON. In all 5 regulators are used to provide a stable and pure power supply, including 2 low noise regulators close to the digital chips.
To operate it requires a transformer of less than 30VA with these voltages: 2x15V AC + 1x6V AC. The 15V AC is used for the analog part, the 6V AC for the digital part.
