DAC 32bit 768kHz / I2S & SPDIF
With its DAC I-Sabre ES9028Q2M, Audiophonics offers numerous improvements, notably in terms of functionality, while still offering exceptional sound performance.
CAUTION: This product can not be connected directly to a RASPBERRY PI2 and PI3 without the AUDIOPHONICS adapter for ALLO KALI
For the normal version directly compatible Raspberry Pi3 and Pi2 click on this link:
A dedicated version for the Allo Kali
Adapter, Allo Kali and Raspberry Pi 3 not included
This version of our reference DAC ES9028Q2M has a GPIO port on the top and not below. It is thus compatible with the famous up-sampler ALLO KALI by I2S jumpers clad in argentsor our horizontal offset KALI offset. This new form factor also allows numerous combinations for the classic HiFi boxes of horizontal shape and in particular the integration to our Audiophonics Rasptouch box.
Like its predecessors, the ES9028Q2M delivers truly exceptional sound performance with components selected to ensure the most accurate and clean playback. Thus, it supports sampling rates up to 32bit 768kHz. Based on proven technologies, the 32bit Hyperstream offers a wider range of dynamics while drastically reducing the jitter which could cause distortion.
<!- STANDARD PARAGRAPH ->
Like its predecessors, the ES9028Q2M adapts perfectly to the Raspberry Pi in order to offer a complete, flexible and high performance DAC. This converter innovates on the other hand by offering a real hardware control, also allowing it to operate in any autonomy, via its I2S input. In addition, driver installation is no longer required to enable the DAC to operate. These only come in addition to bring you a software management of your device.
The 9028Q2M, in order to facilitate its use and ensure a high stability, is able, through its microprocessor, to automatically detect the sampling rate of the source to adapt automatically. Thus, there is no longer any problem of decoding the signal and no artifact will appear on the listening.
Integrating two NJM 2114 AOPs powered 12V on the board corresponding to the ESS technical diagrams, the last AOP NJM 2114 buffer finalizes the analog output stage, to ensure an optimal reproduction.
This converter is also a truly complete solution, allowing you to add a high-quality OLED display for viewing sources, volume and bit rate, or a physical volume controller to adjust the volume , without having to go through a software or an application.
Warning: This product only contains the DAC Audiophonics I-Sabre ES9028Q2M. The RaspBerry Pi, the OLED display, the rotary encoder,t Kali are sold separately.
Powered by a Micro USB 5V input, the DAC has a particularly well-thought-out power stage that provides both a stable signal and reduced residual noise. For this, the PCB incorporates a Mornsun DC / DC converter providing 3000VDC voltage isolation followed by two controllers and two 16V capacitors for stability.
Ofmore, as for its predecessor the Raspberry Pi can be powered directly via the GPIO port, avoiding to multiply the connections. You are also free to use a linear quality power supply to further improve the decoding accuracy.
Our I-SABRE ES9028Q2M DAC is 100% compatible with the Open Source DietPi solution. This optimized solution allows you to install absolutely everything you need, no more, no less. Computer skills (SSH) are required to correctly program this solution. Click on the following logo to discover their site and their solutions to download.
The ES9028Q2M is also compatible with the Volumio solution. Thus, it offers a web control interface that is both efficient and intuitive. What to enjoy fully and simply your music in high resolution.
