A USB-A Male to 3.5mm Mono Jack cable for use with this 5V Trigger is available as an accessory.
This accessory, made in France, in our workshops, makes it easy to add an automatic on/off function (trigger) to devices that do not have this as a native function.
The principle of operation is simple: the housing has an IEC (sector) Input and output . By default, no current flows between the two connectors.
A second input on 3.5mm jack is located on the side of the device. When this input is fed by a 5V DC, it closes the circuit between the IEC input and output, which allows current to pass.
This type of accessory can be used in a variety of fields. In the case of an audio system, it is especially convenient to turn on several devices simultaneously: A master device equipped with a trigger output connected to the 5V trigger may thus control the activation of other remote devices. The same goes for the shutdown.
If your HiFi or Home Cinema set incorporates a 5V trigger output (HC preamplifier, Blu-ray high-end player) connect product on your amplifier input and drive it from the master device to trigger on elements that are connected to it.
