Control your MiniDSP through network

The principle of a DSP is often an additional complexity when installing a sound system. This equipment needs to be programmed with functions that must respond dynamically to your preferences and to the characteristics of your listening environment.

Access to the DSP parameters requires the use of a computer, which forces the user to decide between two options: connect the PC to the DSP, with all the drawbacks it brings speaking in terms of cables and audio elements overflowing the workspace.

The other option is to dedicate an entire computer to the DSP programming, which represents a significant cost and dramatically increases the clutter in your HiFi system.

Wi-DG offers a workaround to the problem by simplifying the second option. It is a small-scale, easy-to-install interface that connects via USB to your miniDSP as if it were a computer. On the other hand it connects to your home network and lets you control your miniDSP anywhere within the same network from any connected device. In other words, you gain a very easy access to the parameters of your DSP while reducing clutter and cable jungles in your sound space as well as your workspace.

Ad Hoc network access

Not only is the Wi-DG able to receive information from the network. It can also work as an transmitter. This represents a major advantage for all situations where it is not physically possible to establish a home network: in a vehicle, or a semi-nomadic system for example.

If no network is available, the USB/network interface Wi-DG is able to create his own wireless Ad Hoc network on which the user can log in to access every feature of the device.

As a last resort, if the computer is not equipped with WiFi connectivity, if your router is unavailable or if your listening room is subject to strong interference, it is always possible to connect the Wi- DG through an RJ45 port. This option will be much appreciated by supporters of wall-through cables.

ALEXA Amazon Support

Wi-DG can go even further thanks to its ability to support signals from Amazon Alexa. When connected to the same network that an Amazon Echo interface, it becomes possible to control your miniDSP device by voice commands.
