These devices are delivered in pairs and convert a 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet signal to 1000Base-SX/LX optical fiber. This allows the signal to be isolated from the rest of the Ethernet network to limit noise, while enjoying the advantages of 1000Base-SX/LX optical fibre, i. e. the greatest possible transmission distance. The fiber optic port supports multimode SX and single mode LX transmission standards for distances up to several kilometers.

The implementation is simple. Simply connect your network source (router, switch...) to the RJ45 connector of the first converter via a twisted pair Ethernet cable and then connect the two converters together with optical fiber. Finally, simply connect the second converter to your destination device (computer) in RJ45. LED indicators indicate the operating status of the device.
