The human ear has the ability to hear a wide range of sounds, however, some sounds are simply too low to be heard and must be felt by the body. Feeling these extremely low frequency sounds adds a new dimension to your listening, playing and movie experiences.

The Dayton Audio BST-2 transducer lets you feel those low frequencies without the need for an oversized subwoofer and extremely high sound pressure level. By mounting it on a chair or sofa, you can create a more immersive experience by augmenting the existing low-frequency output from your speakers or headphones with powerful tactile feedback.

The BST-2 is equipped with 4 mounting holes for easy installation on any flat surface. The mounting plate includes a foam gasket to ensure that there is no hum, even in the event of intense vibration. A dual suspension system keeps the mass moving linearly to provide incredible tactile feedback without unwanted noise. Excess heat from the voice coil is dissipated by the rugged cast aluminum housing for long life and reliable performance.

Additional Notes and Suggestions :

• A low-pass filter of 80Hz or less is recommended to reduce unwanted high-frequency output.
• Recommended amplifiers: Dayton Audio SA70 for one to two BST-2 vibrators. Dayton Audio APA150 for four BST-2 vibrators (wired in series-parallel for a load of 4Ω). Dayton Audio BSA-200 for six BST-2 vibrators (wired in series-parallel for a load of 6Ω).
