High Efficiency Exciter 40W 4Ω Ø30mm
Dayton Audio's EX30HESF2-4 IMS™ is a high-output 30mm exciter, among the most powerful in the brand's exciter line, supporting 40W of power. A pre-attached 3M VHB™ adhesive ring and interchangeable mounting system combines with four screw-in mounting lugs for maximum energy transfer.
Exciters offer a universal and cost-effective alternative to traditional speakers, allowing for sound reproduction in virtually any environment. Dayton Audio's exclusive IMS™ Interchangeable Mount exciter can be used in a multitude of DIY applications, with the mounting system allowing for quick and easy assembly.
The EX30HESF-4 IMS™ exciter represents one of Dayton Audio's most powerful models. This high-output model incorporates a 4Ω voice coil for use with medium-sized amplifiers to get the full potential. A wide frequency response is allowed thanks to the low inductance of only 0.3mH of this exciter. A neodymium magnet is used to create maximum magnetic flux around the coil for increased sensitivity compared to other similarly sized exciters. This reduces power requirements and therefore allows the use of modestly sized amplifiers without sacrificing output level.
With the exclusive Dayton Audio IMS™ interchangeable mounting system, you can easily try out different exciter configurations, placements and models to find the best combination for your project. Each exciter comes with a threaded bracket. Mounting is simple using either the 3M adhesive pad or the screw-in system. The exciter is then screwed onto the threaded socket. This design allows you to test quickly or replace a defective exciter in the blink of an eye.
