Miniature Transducer Seat Bass Shaker 50W 2Ω 10Hz-350Hz
ButtKicker® brand BK-Mini-CT Concert mini low frequency bass shakers are based on the large BK-CT Concert touch transducers that have received rave reviews around the world since their introduction in the late 90s. While the large BK-CT touch transducer is designed to add low-frequency monitoring to a platform, the BK-Mini-CT is designed as a seat transducer that requires minimal power.
ButtKicker transducers are built on a revolutionary, patented design using magnetically suspended pistons. This design not only creates more accurate low-frequency effects, but is also more durable. An architecture that pushes the resonant frequency of each ButtKicker transducer down to a very low 9Hz, allowing for a true infrasonic frequency range for use from 10Hz to 350Hz.
ButtKicker's BK-Mini-CT features a 2Ω impedance and can be mounted directly on a seat (such as a drum seat) for targeted low-frequency monitoring without interrupting or affecting other musicians. This makes it work great in concert with in-ear monitors.
Each ButtKicker transducer piston is constructed of heavy gauge coil wire and is surrounded by a large metal housing that acts as a heat sink. If the coil wire exceeds 150°F (75°C), an internal thermal switch disconnects the ButtKicker from the amplifier to cool it. In addition, the five-way connection terminals provide almost infinite options for connecting to the amplifier. All ButtKicker transducers are made in the USA.
