The Dayton Audio DAEX25Q-4 exciter benefits from a four-arm design that extends from the exciter body, enabling it to transfer sound over a much larger surface area for extended low-frequency response. A neodymium magnet is used to create maximum magnetic flux around the coil, increasing sensitivity over similarly sized exciters. This reduces power requirements and enables the use of very small audio amplifiers, without sacrificing overall power. The 25.4mm coil increases input power, creating a rich, dynamic sound.
To ensure maximum acoustic energy transfer between the transducer and the surface to which it is attached, 3M VHB (Very High Bond) adhesive is pre-applied. Two spring-loaded terminals are integrated into the main body for rapid electrical connection.
Note: the frequency response and sensitivity of an exciter depend entirely on the surface to which it is attached. Thinner, smaller materials will tend to provide greater sound volume and create a midrange and treble response. Thicker, larger materials (with multiple exciters) will produce a slightly lower volume, but a fuller sound.
