The Dayton Audio DAEX25VT-4 25mm exciter has the same ability as other exciters to turn any surface into a loudspeaker, but in a more compact format, for working with smaller surfaces. A neodymium magnet is used to create maximum magnetic flux around the coil, increasing sensitivity compared with similar-sized exciters. This reduces power requirements and enables the use of very small audio amplifiers, without sacrificing total power. The 25.4mm coil and cooling vents increase input power for high-output applications, while maintaining a low profile.
To ensure maximum acoustic energy transfer between the transducer and the surface to which it is attached, 3M VHB (Very High Bond) adhesive is pre-applied. Two PCB soldering points make installation and wiring as compact as possible.
Note: the frequency response and sensitivity of a vibrator depend entirely on the surface to which it is attached. Thinner, smaller materials will tend to provide greater sound volume and create a midrange and treble response. Thicker, larger materials (with multiple vibrators) will produce a slightly lower volume, but a fuller sound.
