The Dayton Audio DAEX25W-8 is an exciter designed to operate under extreme conditions or a conventional loudspeaker could not work. Outdoor use is not a problem for this sealed and therefore totally waterproof exciter. It can therefore be attached to external surfaces to create loudspeakers from everyday objects, converting vibrations into sound waves.

The back of the exciter is covered with a 3M VHB double-sided adhesive to simply attach the DAEX25W-8 to many types of materials without the need for mechanical support. The IP67 standard used by the exciter means that it is totally impermeable to dust and has been immersed to a depth of 1m and for one hour without any liquid entering and degrading the equipment. A 1.7m cable is included to connect the exciter to an amplifier.
