This small converter lets you recover audio from an HDMI source for separate decoding or amplification. You go back in HDMI, and you come out in signal SPDIF.

Particularly useful in the case of using a simple monitor (without sound) or to compensate for the sometimes very average audio reproduction of a television.

Works with Chromecast!
Using it to extract the sound from a chromecast (2nd gen.) and sending it to my dac/amp. So now I can use my Google Nest Mini to control my stereo. Neat!

Impeccable ! Branché sur la sortie HDMI zone 2 de mon préampli, me permet de récupérer directement le flux digital pour attaquer un interface numérique (OpenDRC DI)...aucune perte..aucun décrochage...parfait!
