Noise suppressor headphones for high sensitivity headset
The EarBuddy plugs directly into the jack 3.5 mm from your audio player (smartphone, tablet, amplifier or DAC headset output). Its function is to prevent degradation of the signal caused by a digital volume reduction. It gives excellent results with high sensitivity headphones and in-ear devices that require a clean source with a minimum level of noise.
Its principle is relatively simple. The starting point is that high digital audio resolution have too much dynamic range for most headphones (possibility of very high volumes occuring).
The current method of reducing the digital volume will minimize the volume at the price of dynamic attenuation (the loudest sound decreases but the noise component remains the same). According to the headphone sensitivity, noise can become noticeable and deeply disturb the quality of the sound experience. To achieve a reasonable volume through headphones, the signal has been digitaly reduced which led to a loss of dynamics and increased noise.
The principle of Ear Buddy is simply to attenuate the signal between the digital source and the headphones so you do not have to use the digital control. This attenuation is of of -16 dB magnitude for sensitive devices. Background noise is also reduced thereby preserving all the dynamic range of sound. This solution is ideal for bringing the listening volume to a reasonable point on a headset while without sacrificing the nuances of sound while promoting noise.
The Ear Buddy system is connected by nature to the concept of sound quality. It must therefore be himself the most perfect possible from a standpoint of neutrality signal. For this reason, the circuit enjoys a gold plating and uses audiophile components (MELF resistors). Similarly its 3.5mm male and female connectors are gold plated and the entire internal wiring is 6N high quality copper.
