For its 6th anniversary edition, Aune unveils an updated version of the X5S with an optimized circuit. This 100% digital audio file player supports almost all formats including DSD up to DSD256. It can read WAV, FLAC, APE and DSD formats.

The ARM + CPLD + DSD1793 architecture offers comfortable computing power for digital transport of this gauge. The X5S 6th Anniversary thus offers a very clean signal, with 133.8 dB THD+N @ 1kHz, 0dB and an extremely low jitter of 2.7NS.

Connectors

It has a large OLED screen providing all the essential information to check that the reading takes place in the best conditions and that all the parameters are respected (frequency, bitrate...etc). The X5S 6th anniversary player can be controlled with an I/R remote control (supplied with the exception of the island).

Equipped with a diversified connectivity (AES/EBU - Optical Toslink - RCA Coaxial), it is able to drive a very wide range of audio DACs. In addition, the front of the unit features an SD card reader from which the X5S will be able to read audio files.

If the X5s 6th Anniversary is used with an X1S (same manufacturer), the set benefits from a SPDIF capacity exceeding the standard 192kHz ceiling. Such a coaxial / SPDIF line can run DSD128 - 32bit/384KHz streams autonomously.
