The PM8000 is a quality 48V USB phantom power supply, designed to power a condenser microphone or a measuring microphone. The PM8000 has the advantage of a USB-B plug for its power supply, thus incorporating a shield to limit interference that could disturb the signal. To connect the microphone, the unit offers an XLR balanced input and output.

In addition, the PM8000 incorporates a rectifier and filter circuit to filter AC signal interference, as well as a low-pass filter to limit output noise.

The AC adapter included in the package is a model for US outlets. To connect to a French socket it is necessary to use a USA to FR socket adapter (sold separately).The PM8000 can also be powered directly from a computer.
