Wiring Cable OCC Copper / Silver 2.62mm² Graphene Insulation Ø5.3mm Black
The Graphene high-end cable designed by 1877Phono, incorporates a single-crystal OCC copper conductor with a diameter of 1.3mm, covered with a 14-pin OCC copper braid, 7 of which are silver plated, using the brand's H-Wound™ technology. The cable is insulated with FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) that can withstand high temperatures, followed by a specially designed dielectric made of a resin with Graphene particles. The outer sheath of the cable is made of PVC and complies with ROHS/REACH standards. This cable was developed after a long period of experimentation and research to find the best geometry and component assembly, in order to achieve the purest possible signal transmission.
With more than 18 years of experience in cable manufacturing, Zavfino 1877Phono has developed a technique to tighten the stranded wire firmly around a solid core center conductor. This unique technique eliminates the skin effect that affects the quality of the stamps and the naturalness of the reproduction. For this process, the brand uses a custom-built transformer strander with modified gears. Thus, it is able to create windings more slowly but with a much tighter pitch, without the strands overlapping. Where most stranders can only produce windings of up to 300 torsions per meter, the patented H-Wound machine of 1877Phono allows windings of 16000 torsions per meter.
The manufacturer also uses Zero Strand Loss technology to protect conductors from damage during stripping and termination. Therefore, by ensuring that each core is perfect, flawless, the brand can guarantee that each core is 100% identical. These techniques offer incredible timbre accuracy, a beautiful sound image and an extremely rich reproduction.
Each conductor undergoes a Deep Cryo treatment. This consists in cooling the conductors between -186°C and -196°C. To define the exact temperature at which conductors must descend, 1877Phono studied the purity, size and molecular structure of each conductor. This treatment allows to obtain more convincing silences, to improve the bandwidth or the dynamics.
This is a two-step process. First, the bare conductor passed through a ceramic mold into an ultrasonic cleaning chamber. This process removes impurities and imperfections from the yarn surface down to the molecular level. Once each yarn is processed, they are grouped into bundles for a new treatment. During this second step, the voltage is increased while remaining below the conductor threshold. This adjustment provides a running-in effect in addition to the 30 to 40 hours of signal and/or current that each cable receives. UltraSonic 7 and Deep Cryo treatments prepare the cable to break in in just a few days rather than several months once at the user's premises.
For conductor insulation, 1877Phono uses a special process based on Graphene, an allotrope with excellent electrical, mechanical and chemical properties. To develop this process, the brand worked for two years with an American Graphene polymer research company. This treatment provides much better protection against electromagnetic interference. In addition, the Graphene's high thermal deformation capacity strengthens the dielectric by 30% to ensure identical performance for decades to come. Finally, Graphene creates a 100% anti-corrosive barrier, preventing oxygen from penetrating into the shielding and conductors. This isolation ensures both a perfectly closed electromagnetic field blocking all interference, as well as greater durability.
