α (Alpha) treatment

The contacts of this Furutech IEC socket benefit from the brand's α (Alpha) treatment. This consists of a two-step process, aimed at maximizing driver performance. The first step, cryogenics, brings the conductive material to a temperature between -196°C and -250°C. The treated elements then change their molecular structure, improving the electrical conductivity of the material. The second phase consists of exposing these same elements to a very effective demagnetization process, totally eliminating the magnetization of the material.
