Singolo earphones feature the KARS system, a discreet band-pass filter manipulating the airflow to the driver, regulating the low-frequency output. This innovation features a network of labyrinth tubes specifically designed to establish the most appropriate resonance point for Singolo earphones. The KARS makes possible a tight infra-bass band, which until now has been impossible in earphones with a single driver. The quality and texture of the bass is incomparable to any other tuning method used in a similar speaker format. Unlike traditional crossover networks that use multiple drivers with RC (resistor-capacitor) networks, KARS uses Helmholtz resonance to regulate its tuning. The flow of air in a dynamic driver determines the level of diaphragm response, but also requires additional calculations of flow, direction and volume. The KARS system enables this airflow to be precisely regulated, without unwanted artefacts, where RC networks tend to distort sound reproduction, especially when low-cost SMD components are used.

Kiwi Ears x Crinacle Singolo : the Crinacle tonal signature

Singolo earphones are tuned to Crinacle's tonal signature. Featuring an 8 dB sub-bass band, the bass is incredibly powerful and punchy, but stops perfectly at 300 Hz. This results in neutral mids that articulate the natural sound of voices and instruments without any artificial swelling or muddy effect. The highs follow, with a clear peak at 3 kHz followed by a gradual decay.
