Moondrop offers with the Blessing3, evolution of the Blessing2, exceptional in-ear monitors, offering a sound reproduction as rich as it is precise. The IEMs integrate for this no less than three different double drivers, each responsible for the reproduction of a defined frequency range. A particularly effective triple filter thus makes it possible to distribute these frequency bands according to each transducer.
3D-printed physical bandpass and lowpass filter conduits, along with a resistor and capacitor filter form a triple hybrid filter. Dual Knowles SWFK tweeters handle the highs, the mids are assigned to a proprietary dual Mid-BA driver and a dual 10mm paper diaphragm dynamic transducer takes care of the bass. This design delivers smooth highs, crisp mids, and deep bass for immersive and faithful sound reproduction.
The physical filtering system of the Blessing3 therefore includes a band-pass filter and a low-pass filter. The first is used to modify the response range of the bass and midrange loudspeakers, while the second is used to limit the Q value of the transducers reproducing the midrange and treble. This particular design demands extreme precision in the manufacturing process but achieves incredible sound quality.
In order to precisely manufacture the complex structure of the Blessing3 without the slightest error, Moondrop has extended its partnership with the company specialized in 3D printing, HeyGears. This combination makes it possible to take advantage of DLP-3D printing with medical grade UV resin, in order to obtain reliable, precise and robust complex-structured enclosures.
Blessing3 faceplates are crafted from medical grade stainless steel through a precise CNC milling process and then brushed. The result is a particularly pleasant play of light and shadow. Assembled with the transparent shell printed in 3D, the set offers a magnificent aesthetic, both modern and sober.
The triple-filter structure uses both acoustic filters and a capacitor-resistor filter, preserving phase coherence across most of the audible spectrum while ensuring that each speaker performs within its respective frequencies. In addition, this method ensures incredibly transparent and highly accurate reproduction. On Moondrop's Blessing3 version, the sound gains in texture and authenticity and the bass is enhanced.
