With the Robin, Moondrop presents wireless in-ear monitors developed in collaboration with the game Honkai: Star Rail. These are based on a pair of drivers combining dynamic and planar magnetic technology to provide effective coverage of the entire frequency band. The Robin have been designed to be extremely ergonomic, with a shape that makes them comfortable to wear for long periods of time, while providing excellent soundproofing against external noise. Finally, a real effort has been made to make the user experience as pleasant as possible, whether through automatic detection of earphone wear or wireless recharging of the case.
The Robin earphones feature a dynamic driver with a 10mm ceramic diaphragm, a CCAW coil and an N52 magnet circuit. This dynamic driver is backed up by a 6mm planar magnetic driver that deals exclusively with high frequencies, creating a hybrid two-driver architecture offering very high sound resolution and natural timbre reproduction.
The Robins also use a patented front cavity with an acoustic damper that reproduces the same rendering as monitor earphones, ensuring flawlessly accurate sound reproduction.
The Robin are equipped with a Bluetooth 5.4 chip, enabling them to be compatible with high-resolution protocols such as LDAC. Furthermore, these earphones support the new Bluetooth LC3 standard, which, when connected to a compatible device, allows you to obtain a much lower delay and distortion rate than with a traditional Bluetooth connection. Furthermore, you can connect the Robin to two devices simultaneously and switch between them as required.
The Robin stand out not only for their sound quality, but also for their ergonomics. With its new earphones, Moondrop has adopted a design normally used in monitoring earphones, allowing comfortable wearing over long sessions without sacrificing space for internal components. In order to achieve this specific shape, the body of the Robin is produced using a 3D printing process, enabling results of an otherwise impossible precision.
Because of their specific shape, the Robin offer excellent sound insulation, allowing environmental noise to be passively attenuated. Furthermore, for even greater noise attenuation, an active mode is also available, providing 40dB of attenuation across the entire frequency band. Finally, a transparency mode is also available, so you can listen to your favourite tracks while being aware of your surroundings.
In order to deliver the smoothest possible user experience, the Robin include a photosensitive sensor. This sensor accurately detects whether the earphones are being worn or not, ensuring that the music is automatically paused as soon as the earphones are removed. Furthermore, if one earphone is removed while noise-cancellation mode is active, the other earphone will automatically switch to transparent mode, providing a more comfortable user experience.
To provide effective noise reduction during your phone calls, the Robin are equipped with two microphones each for beamforming noise reduction. This technique relies on several microphones picking up the same sound source. However, because of their different placements, the interference picked up by each of these microphones will be different, making it possible to discriminate and suppress it.
The Robin earphones have an impressive battery life of 9 hours of uninterrupted listening, which can be extended to a further 30 hours when paired with the charging case. Furthermore, in addition to the USB-C port for rapid charging, the case is also compatible with induction chargers.
En utilisant l’application Moondrop Link disponible sur iOS et Android, vous pouvez également sélectionner 5 réglages d’EQ différents en fonction de vos goûts.
