With these Prestige LTD in-ear earphones, Thieaudio unveils an innovative, high-end pair of earphones that follows on from the Prestige Original model. Indeed, the Prestige LTD also benefit from a hybrid design with no less than 9 drivers in each earphone; 4 Sonion electrostatic tweeters for high frequencies, 4 Knowles and Sonion Balanced Armature drivers for mids and a 10mm dynamic driver for bass. The result is a sound reproduction that is transparent, precise and rich in detail. To make this complex assembly work, the Prestiges LTD incorporate a 5-way crossover (passive crossover network) which distributes the different frequencies to the drivers, resulting in an extremely textured, wide-band soundstage.

The tone of the Prestige LTD is quite different from that of the original model in the range. Modifications to the 10mm dynamic driver have tightened the bass at 200Hz, bringing greater responsiveness, dynamism and precision for a cleaner, more transparent sound. The midrange, meanwhile, is sharper than ever, in line with the standards of professional studio monitors. As for the treble, it boasts the same extension capacity as the Prestige Original, but this time with the elimination of unwanted peaks for a more pleasant listening experience. Improved use of electrostatic drivers (EST) has resulted in a more natural treble curve.
