With the V16 Divinity, Thieaudio unveils its top-of-the-range in-ear monitors featuring a total of 16 balanced armature drivers, each specialising in a specific frequency band to deliver a breathtakingly rich and refined final sound reproduction.
Thieaudio V16 Divinity: 16 balanced armature drivers
The V16 Divinity earphones feature a staggering 16 balanced armature drivers per ear to provide the best possible coverage of the entire audio spectrum. Each driver is specialised in a specific frequency band. Sub-bass is handled by large Sonion drivers set to cut off at 200 Hz, delivering powerful, punchy bass without overpowering the rest of the spectrum. The midrange, meanwhile, is divided into low-midrange and high-midrange and is each assigned to custom brand drivers, ensuring a very neutral midrange curve. Finally, Knowles custom super-tweeters are in charge of the treble, reproducing the smallest details without being aggressive to the listener's ears.
Thieaudio V16 Divinity : 5-way crossover
In order to harmonise and make these 16 drivers work together, the V16 Divinity earphones are equipped with a complete 5-way crossover system. The entire frequency band is divided into perfectly defined regions, specific to each type of driver, so that each can operate in its optimum frequency band without impinging on the others. This precision, combined with a high number of drivers, results in incredible detail, texture and richness across the entire spectrum.
Thieaudio V16 Divinity : A cable to match the earphones
The litz wire cable supplied with the V16 Divinity earphones is a 26AWG cable with pure silver-plated OCC copper conductors. The jacket is made of paracord, which is exceptionally resistant while remaining pleasant to the touch. In addition, the cable features a modular system allowing the user to connect the various terminations supplied (4.4mm and 2.5mm balanced jack or 3.5mm single-ended jack). The CIEM 0.78mm connectors have also been improved to strengthen the link with the earphones.
