Truthear Hexa: A combo of 4 drivers

Hexa uses four drivers to effectively cover the entire frequency range. Low frequencies are handled by a Ø10mm dynamic driver with a liquid crystal polymer (LCP) diaphragm and polyurethane suspension. The weighted voice coil used has been specially selected to reduce the driver's resonant frequency and increase its impedance, delivering furthermore punchy bass and meeting the need for precise frequency range distribution.

A pair of composite balanced armature drivers are responsible for the midrange, which has been specially tuned to precisely complement the dynamic driver while rigorously conforming to HRTF characteristics.

Finally, a custom balanced armature tweeter, with characteristics very similar to Knowles' WBFK series, is responsible for high frequencies, not only effectively complementing the frequency band coverage, but also offering a fine, precise rendering of high frequencies.

Truthear Hexa: Sound profile

All this engineering gives Hexa a sound reproduction with powerful bass without being intrusive, natural midrange and bass, with no clear cross-hatching between the different drivers, and treble whose reproduction is greatly modified according to the type of tip used: clear and natural when used with silicone tips, and softer and more delicate when used with foam tips.
