TRUTHEAR NOVA In-Ear Monitors

Truthear's Nova are high-performance in-ear earphones featuring a total of 5 drivers and a waveguide structure made using DLP 3D printing, to deliver sound with a wide frequency response and a smooth, natural timbre.

Thuthear Nova : 5 driver configuration

The Nova uses a total of 5 drivers to cover the entire frequency range effectively. Bass is handled by a Ø10mm dynamic driver with a liquid crystal polymer (LCP) cone and polyurethane suspension. The accompanying magnetic circuit has been specially designed to produce high-performance bass with extremely low distortion.

The midrange and upper midrange are handled by a pair of balanced armature drivers specifically selected for their frequency response, perfectly complementing the dynamic driver and the tweeters.

High frequencies are handled by a pair of balanced armature drivers with sound characteristics similar to those of the SWFK series. This extends the high-frequency response while limiting the Q value so as not to create resonance peaks that are uncomfortable to the ear.

Thuthear Nova : Design using DLP 3D printing

The Nova's hybrid acoustic waveguide structure is produced using DLP (Digital Light Processing) 3D printing. This process makes it possible to achieve a level of design finesse that would otherwise be impossible. As a result, Truthear was able to design a waveguide structure tailored to each driver, in order to merge their renderings into a coherent whole, as close as possible to what the brand wished for in terms of sound reproduction.

Thuthear Nova : Tone profile

The Nova's tone profile has slightly less bass than the HARMAN IE 2019 model and a treble very similar to the HARMAN OE 2013 model. The result is warm, smooth sound reproduction with a clear, natural timbre.

Furthermore, Truthear has ensured that despite the Nova's large number of drivers, they all have the same phase across the entire frequency band, so there's no phase distortion to get in the way of the natural sound you're looking for.
