The Dayton Audio MA1260 12 channel amplifier has been designed to provide a custom multi-room sound distribution. All the connectivity your system needs

Two common inputs provide audio signals from sources with a standard line level to any or all channels. Each of the twelve channels has its own dedicated input and independent level control for greater flexibility. At the touch of a button to bridger two channels to increase the total output power of this area. This is particularly useful when a higher power supply is required in a particular area.

Let the MA1260 do the job

It is possible to switch the MA-1260's on/off system to manual, automatic mode, or use the 12V trigger for simplified integration into automated systems. Each pair of channels or zones has a two-color LED to indicate its operating status.

• 1. ON/OFF Switch / Status LED : The push button on the front panel of the amplifier turns the unit on and off. When the device is in standby, the status LED under the button is lit in red. When the LED is lit in blue, then the device is active. This button can turn off the unit regardless of the "Remote" mode selected (ON, AUTO, TRIGGER).
• 2. Zone status indicators : Each pair of channels or zones has a two-color LED. These indicators make it possible to quickly identify the operating status of each zone and possible problems. If the system determines that a channel should be cut due to excessive heat or low impedance, only the affected channels will be disabled. In this case, the LEDs turn red. The areas that are still active will continue to operate normally and the LEDs will then be blue.

• 3. BUS & Line inputs / outputs : The MA1260 has two BUS inputs that receive audio signals from audio sources with standard line level and then redistribute these signals to one or all channels, as well as two BUS outputs.
• 4. Remote switch : This button is used to select the ignition mode of the amplifier. The "Trigger" mode uses a voltage of 3-30V AC/DC on the trigger input to turn on the amplifier. The "Auto" mode automatically detects the presence of a signal on an RCA input to turn on the amplifier. The "ON" mode allows you to control the ignition only with the Power ON/OFF button on the front of the device
• 5. Trigger input / output : The Trigger input is a convenient feature when you want to integrate the amplifier into an automated system. The 3.5mm jack connector accepts a voltage of 30-30V AC/DC from another device in the system or from an external power supply. When the Trigger input is powered, the amplifier turns on. The MA1260 also has a trigger output providing a voltage of 12VDC 500mA so that you can automatically switch one of the devices in your system on and off.
• 6. Gain control per channel : Each channel has its own gain setting. This allows the output level of each speaker to be perfectly consistent with its area. This function can also be used to limit the maximum level of a zone.
• 7. Bridge switch : Simply use this button to bridger two zones to increase the total output power. This function is particularly useful when an additional energy supply is required in an area.
  The minimum impedance for channel bridging is 8Ω. Also make sure your speakers are properly wired. Input selection and volume level selection in bridled mode will be controlled by the left channel. BR" refers to the Bridled mode, "ST" refers to the standard stereo mode.

  Make sure you turn off the amplifier before changing the position of this button.

• 8. Input selector : This selector allows you to select the active source (BUS1, BUS2, Line in) for each channel in each zone.

• 9. Speaker terminals : The MA1260 uses Phoenix terminals to connect your speakers. It is recommended to use two-conductor speaker cables with a cross-section of 14 to 18AWG.
• 10. Individual input per channel : Each of the 12 channels has its own dedicated input allowing the connection of audio sources in addition to the common BUS inputs.
• 11. Input voltage switch : This switch allows you to select the input voltage according to what your power outlet delivers. The selection is made between 230V and 115V.
  It is imperative to check the position of this switch on receipt of the product and to choose a position that matches the voltage delivered by your electrical system.

• 11. IEC Power connector : This IEC connector allows the MA1260 to be powered from a mains socket. The IEC base also integrates the fuse of the device.
