3E Audio, a recognized player in the DIY world, now offers a Class D Stereo amplifier incorporating audiophile Hi-Fi components. The A7 amplifier is based on two TI TPA3255 chips in PBTL configuration, and two dual OPA1612A OPAs. This means it can deliver up to 2x 250W into 4 ohm power.
In terms of connectors, the 3E Audio A7 features an RCA input, a practical balanced XLR/Jack 6.35mm combo input, and an output on speaker terminals. The RCA inputg gain can be adjusted (LOW=25dB, HIGH=28.5dB), and the preamplifier stage and volume control can be bypassed for use as a power amplifier. Versatile and high-performance, this little amplifier is able to offer a good reserve of power while preserving the final sound reproduction.

The two TPA3255 amplifier chips offer a consistent level of output power, as the 3E Audio A7 delivers up to 2x250W into 4 ohm and up to 2x140W into 8 ohm (THD+N = 1%). In addition, the PBTL configuration maintains continuous, stable output power while reducing power losses. It also enables the amplifier to withstand loads of up to 2 ohms.
The preamplifier stage of the 3E Audio A7 is made up of two double OPA1612A OPAs mounted in DIP 8 and easily replaceable with pliers, thanks to the design of the case. In fact, the OPAs can be accessed through two hatches without opening the case. Here's a non-exhaustive list of compatible OPAs: OPA1656, OPA1602, OPA2134, NE5532P, LME49720, LM4562, MUSES02, MUSES8920, NJM4580, NJM4556, NJM2068, OP249, AD827, etc.
Please take care not to damage the device or the OPAs when replacing or handling them. Any damage to the device caused by improper handling by the user (reverse mounting of OPAs, mounting of non-compatible OPAs, etc.) will invalidate the product warranty. Please refer to the manual to carry out the operation.
