The Hi-Fly WiFi multiroom playback technology and associated application allows you to stream your music directly from your favorite online streaming services, listen to files stored on your device, play music stored on your computer / NAS (local network) or files stored on a USB stick / hard disk connected to the WB40A. The Dayton Audio WB40A and all other Dayton Audio Hi-Fly compatible products can work together using the Hi-Fly or Legacy Player application.

Once installed, the application guides you through a short series of simple steps to implement the receiver.

Full fingertip control

The Hi-Fly application turns your smartphone or tablet into a remote control to control all your connected Dayton Audio devices that are compatible with the application. You can start your music from a streaming application like Spotify or from your local network or enjoy the files stored on your phone. Hi-Fly allows you to play your music to your various connected devices independently or create groups for a complete multiroom experience. In addition, your music continues to play even if your smartphone turns off or you receive a call. If you do not want to use your smartphone to control playback and broadcasting, an IR remote control is also provided.

Bluetooth

The Dayton Audio WB40A also includes Bluetooth connectivity to stream your music. Any device connected via Bluetooth (transmission) can stream audio to the WB40A, without the need to use the Hi-Fly application. Particularly useful for quickly changing source devices.
