Fosi Audio TP-03 Class D Amplifier Mono + Subwoofer TDA7498E 120W 4 ohm
The Fosi Audio TP-03 mono + subwoofer amplifier is compact but efficient. It features an ST TDA7498E amplifier chip, delivering 220W of power at 4 Ohms. It features two operating modes selectable on the front panel, allowing you to choose between powering an active or passive subwoofer, in which case you'll need to set the frequency potentiometer (FREQ) to "Direct". Or it can power a passive speaker, in which case you'll need to set the frequency potentiometer to "Tone High". Note also that the latter allows adjustment of the 20Hz - 300Hz low-pass filter. Simple and effective, this subwoofer amplifier also features a phase inversion option, enabling it to drive a large number of subwoofers available on the market. A 24V DC 4.5A power supply is supplied.
Fosi Audio TP-03: a ST TDA7498E amplifier chip
Fosi Audio has chosen to integrate an ST TDA7498E amplifier chip for its TP-03 amplifier. This STMicroelectronics chip is a Class D amplifier. In particular, it features a "Standby and mute" function, allowing golden silence, devoid of the slightest background noise when no signal is sent to the Fosi TP-03.
