Streamer DAC Amplifier AK4493EQ ICEpower 100AS2 WiFi DLNA AirPlay Bluetooth MQA aptX HD LDAC 2x100W 4Ω
The Shanling EA5 Plus is an extremely versatile streamer, DAC, amplifier and headphone amplifier. It thus allows the integration of a complete connected audio system, as practical as it is efficient. Indeed, the EA5 Plus benefits from a careful technical architecture, which provides a dynamic, rich and precise sound reproduction and its Android operating system offers access to a wide range of applications.
The digital/analog conversion stage of the Shanling EA5 Plus uses an AKM DAC AK4493EQ chip, providing a smooth and natural sound reproduction but also very accurate. This chip also supports high-resolution audio streams up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512.
Powerful, the EA5 Plus' amplifier section takes advantage of its own Class D ICEpower 100AS2 amplifier module. This one allows it to develop a comfortable power of 2x 100W under 4Ω with precision and dynamism.
The EA5 Plus has a dedicated headphone amplifier stage, using OP+BUF architecture. This ensures low distortion, perfect control and impressive power. It is also combined with the brand's CPAF low-pass filtering technology for consistent phase throughout the frequency range. Two TPA6120A2 amplifier chips, one for each channel, are also used. These provide excellent performance with low distortion and very good responsiveness.
The EA5 Plus circuitry also uses two Japanese KDS oscillators and an algorithm developed by Shanling to effectively reduce jitter and ensure high clock accuracy.
True network player, the EA5 Plus benefits from WiFi 2.4/5G connectivity and RJ45 Ethernet input. It supports DLNA/UPnP and AirPlay transmission protocols, allowing you to access files stored on your network devices, whether it's a computer, a NAS or a smartphone.
In addition to its WiFi connectivity, the EA5 Plus has a bi-directional Bluetooth chip, allowing it to function as both a transmitter and receiver. This makes it extremely easy to stream music from a smartphone. The chip also supports the high resolution codecs LDAC, LHDC and aptX HD.
The Eddict Player application, which can be downloaded free of charge for Android and iOS devices, allows you to take control of your EA5 Plus from your smartphone or tablet. An ergonomic and intuitive graphical interface accompanies you to access your music and device features as easily as possible.
Thanks to its many features and extensive connectivity, the Shanling EA5 Plus has no problem finding its place in the vast majority of audio systems. It can be used in a variety of scenarios, from headphone amplifiers to home theater systems, DACs, network players, or all of these functions at the same time.
