SMSL unveils with the AO300, a versatile Hi-Fi device that fulfills the functions of DAC, amplifier and headphone amplifier. Powerful and high-quality, it integrates high-end components: a MA5332MS Class D amplifier chip, a CS43131 DAC chip and an XU316 XMOS USB interface. These components enable it to decode up to PCM 32bit 768kHz, DSD up to DSD256 and MQA. In terms of amplification performance, the AO300 is capable of delivering up to 2x165W under 4Ω and 2x85W under 8Ω with a THD+N of just 0.003%. Being versatile, it features complete and varied connectivity integrating Bluetooth functionality, an HDMI ARC input port as well as a Subwoofer output allowing you to enjoy a 2.1-channel system for a more immersive experience. A Jack 4.4mm balanced headphone output and a Jack 6.35mm output are also present on the front panel.

MA5332MS amplification chip

The MA5332MS is a Class D stereo amplifier chip. This MCM (multi-chip module) solution integrates 4 MOSFET transistors. It enables the A0300 to deliver power up to 2x165W under 4Ω and 2x85W under 8Ω.

CS43131 DAC chip

The Cirrus Logic CS43131 chip is a DAC chip integrating a low-noise, high-fidelity headphone amplifier. In fact, this chip is capable of driving audiophile headphones with an impedance of 600Ω and an output power of 5mW per channel. With a 32Ω load, it delivers 32mW per channel.

XMOS XU6316 USB interface

The AO300's USB-C input is complemented by XMOS's flagship XU316 interface. This enables it to support high-resolution audio streams up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD up to DSD256.

Bluetooth functionnality

The AO300 features a Bluetooth receiver chip and supports high-resolution codecs such as aptX HD and LDAC. So, you can easily enjoy audio sources like your smartphone for remote use.

HDMI ARC input port and subwoofer output

SMSL has integrated an HDMI ARC input port, so you can enjoy high-quality sound reproduction with your TV as the audio source. To this is added a subwoofer output to transform your Hi-Fi installation into a 2.1-channel system and obtain an immersive rendering with active subwoofer. SMSL's AO300 can therefore be used as a small home-cinema amplifier.

MQA Support

The AO300's optical Toslink and coaxial inputs support MQA and MQA-CD (Master Quality Authenticated) streams, thanks to an MQA decoder for the richest, most detailed sound reproduction possible. This amplifier/DAC therefore offers the possibility of enjoying professional audio quality, with retransmission as close as possible to the original sound recorded and processed in the studio.

Je l'ai acheté ici il y a quelques mois. Incroyable. Rapport qualité prix bousculant beaucoup de references beaucoup, mais alors beaucoup plus cher. A acheter sans retenu.

It is an overall excellent device (SMSL AO300), well thought out with a wide range of connection options to the source and end components of the apparatus.
In terms of sound, I am satisfied with its clean, natural sound on both analog and digital connections. Speakers used are B&W CDM-1 + Dali SW-8; on the headphone output there is an excellent combination with 1MORE Triple Driver Over-Ear headphones (slight modification - removal of 2/3 layers of foam above the drivers).
I wanted (ordered) a black version, a version with a silver front panel arrived. . . :-)

Pour cette commande tout s'est bien passé et rapidement, et j'ai enfin pu écouter cet SMSL AO300. C'est tout simplement exceptionnel. J'avais déjà gouté un ampli numérique avec le V200 de I AM D (pas tout jeune, mais déjà très bon). Là je suis tombé dans une autre dimension d'écoute, impressionnant.
Le seul regret que l'on pourrait avoir, c'est au niveau de la documentation qui pourrait un peu expliquer les différents filtres et EQ. Si vous avez quelques écrits sur ce sujet, merci de les faire connaitre.
Encore bravo pour le produit et le service.

Excellent rapport qualité prix
L'AO300 n'est certes pas l'électronique la plus chantante que j'aie eu entre les mains. Le son est relativement froid et piquant, le haut du spectre n'est pas doux, les médiums paraissent clairement moins naturels et plus décharnés que mon système secondaire : gusrard r26 / aune s17 pro / topping la90d. Mais peut on attendre une telle performance d'une électronique qui coûte 10 fois moins cher ? Évidemment non, en tout cas pas pour l'instant ! Pour autant, les filtres du dsp sont très efficaces (l'égalisation fonctionne bien), les options sont nombreuses, cet appareil fait tout. A partir de là, pour le tarif, c'est un objet excellent.

Je suis très triste après avoir acheté cet équipement SMSL AO300, pour ce genre d'argent, vous ne pouvez pas écouter de la musique, comment pouvez-vous produire un équipement aussi mauvais pour écouter de la musique. SMSL honte à vos ingénieurs
