SMSL PA-X Stereo / Mono Amplifier Infineon GaN 2x250W 4 Ohm / 1x500W 8 Ohm
The SMSL PA-X is an innovative amplifier that uses Gallium Nitride (GaN) transistors to offer 2x250W amplification at 4Ω. Its versatility also enables it to operate in pure mono mode, delivering an impressive 500W into 8Ω. Every component of the PA-X has been meticulously selected to achieve outstanding audio performance, with an incredibly low harmonic distortion rate of 0.0003% and a signal-to-noise ratio of 115dB.
SMSL PA-X: Transistor GaN FET
The PA-X uses GaN FET transistors for its amplifier stage. These transistors offer significantly higher efficiency than conventional silicon transistors, minimizing energy losses during switching and reducing heat generation. In addition, GaN transistors are distinguished by their extremely high switching speed, of the order of 1MHz. This increased speed has several notable advantages: it eliminates switching noise in circuits, considerably reducing background noise, and it enables a much faster response time, instantly adapting to variations in power demand for greatly improved audio dynamics.
SMSL PA-X: Optimised switched-mode power supply
