Merus MA12070 Class D amplifier

Embedding an Infineon Merus MA12070 Class D amplifier chip, the MX5 is capable of delivering a power of 2x55W under 4Ω (1% THD). Moreover, it offers a beautiful precision and richness of sound.

NFCA headphone amplifier

The MX5's headphone amplifier stage is based on a specially optimized NFCA circuit that ensures very low noise and distortion. It can be used with both sensitive headphones and high-impedance headphones, while providing a faithful reproduction of the original signal.

Full connectivity & Auto On/Off

Topping's MX5 benefits from a complete range of connectors, ensuring a wide compatibility with most systems. It features optical, coaxial, USB-B, single-ended stereo RCA, balanced stereo Jack 6.35mm TRS and even Bluetooth wireless connectivity supporting aptX / aptX-HD codecs.

In addition, the amplifier supports the automatic on/off function. When a valid signal is detected, the amplifier automatically turns on, and conversely, turns itself off when no signal is received within a defined time period. In the case of analog signals, the MX5 offers three sensitivity levels to ensure accurate detection.

Tone and gain control

The MX5 allows you to adjust the bass and treble levels from -10dB to +10dB. It can thus adapt to the specificities of each audio system and to your listening.

The Topping MX5 also features two gain levels for the amplifier and headphone amplifier sections to accommodate different input signals.

Pour ce prix, un combo DAC, préamp casque et amp, c’est génial. Mais un défaut dont il faut être conscient(e) : en mode casque seul, les enceintes sifflent :-/ Pas forcément gênant, mais faut le savoir.
