The Dayton Audio Audiostrobe AS-1 has been specially designed for both amateur and professional loudspeaker designers. It emits light flashes synchronized to the sine wave transmitted by a loudspeaker, allowing to clearly visualize the loudspeaker's movement thanks to a visual slow motion effect using the phenomenon of retinal persistence. Thus, it becomes easier to detect possible defects of a loudspeaker. The light part of the device is composed of 36 LEDs with a total power of 1000 lumens, allowing it to be used even in well-lit rooms.

The Audiostrobe AS-1 can therefore be used to detect speaker problems such as
