The ND140-4 is a midrange bass type speaker belonging to the NEO series from Dayton Audio. Modern and resistant, it uses an aluminum cone rimmed with rubber to maintain a good sound. Its magnet is Neodynium, a high-performance material that also allows it to access the Neo range self-armoring features. The ND140-4 is therefore self protected against interference from the most common electromagnetic sources (TV, HDD, telephone) which are likely to damage the materials or to parasitize the signal.
This HP benefits from a nice balance between diameter and extrusion. The ND140-4 produces nice and deep bass frequencies with a low midrange. The quality of low frequencies is surprising, especially for a speaker of this format. The ND140-4 is therefore a choice piece to replace / repair / upgrade an existing speaker. in this respect, its relatively conventional format allows it to easily install in many models without involving drilling or DIY beyond the simple stroke of screwdriver.
