FiiO KA5
Portable DAC Headphone Amplifier CS43198 Balanced 32bit 768kHz DSD256
FiiO offers with the KA5 a compact and particularly efficient portable DAC and headphone amplifier combo. With a USB-C input, it is an ideal companion for use with a current smartphone. It also includes a dual output, with unbalanced 3.5mm Jack and balanced 4.4mm Jack to adapt to your listening device.
Two high-performance DAC chips
The digital/analog conversion stage uses not one but two CS43198 chips. These are known for their efficiency and ability to sound great with a wide variety of music types. In addition, they allow support for high-resolution audio streams, up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD5256.
Powerful double OPAs
FIIO's KA5 uses two ultra-low noise SGM 86615D operational amplifiers along with a 6-layer immersion gold circuit board.
UAC 1.0 et UAC 2.0 for gaming
The KA5 supports UAC 1.0 and 2.0 which allows you to connect it to various gaming devices to make your experience more immersive with quality sound reproduction. To use UAC 1.0 mode, you must hold down the multifunction button before connecting the device of your choice to the KA5. To do this, the KA5 must not be connected to a switched off device.
SPDIF Output
The 3.5mm output can output SPDIF signal. To do this, simply activate the SPDIF mode in the settings menu. You can then connect the KA5 to a high-end external decoder to set up a better sound system.
A local operating system and a modern design
Thanks to its OLED screen and its physical buttons, navigation in the settings menu and the reading display are simpler and more intuitive. The KA5's MCU processor allows it to manage complex operations. There are two volume button management modes (A/B modes).
Control App
FiiO provides a control application for Android, allowing access to many parameters to adapt the sound of the KA5 according to your desires. It is for example to access 7 filters, to modify the gain level or to adjust the balance of the channels.
The FiiO control app is only available for Android devices.
