HIDIZS S8 PRO ROBIN Portable Headphone Amplifier DAC 2x CS43131 Balanced 32bit 384kHz DSD256 Silver
The S8 Pro Robin from Hidizs is a portable balanced DAC and headphone amplifier combo based on two Cirrus Logic CS43131 converter chips and capable of delivering 160mW + 160mW at 32 Ω. Furthermore, the device supports sampling rates up to PCM 32 bit 384kHz and DSD256. Moreover, this device has dual balanced and unbalanced outputs to suit all applications.
Hidizs S8 Pro Robin : Dual DAC architecture
The Hidizs S8 Pro Robin features a symmetrical dual 32-bit DAC architecture, powered by two CS43131 chips from Cirrus Logic. Single-end output power is up to 80mW+80mW@32Ω, and balanced output up to 160mW+160mW@32Ω. The CS43131's 32-bit oversampling module uses mismatch shaping technology to eliminate distortion caused by on-chip component desynchronisation. Proprietary digital interpolation filters support five tuning filters with pseudo-linear phase and ultra-low latency, minimising pre-echo and ringing artefacts. Cirrus Popguard technology also eliminates unwanted output noise on power-up and power-down.
Hidizs S8 Pro Robin : Balanced and single-ended output
The Hidizs S8 Pro Robin offers two outputs: an single-ended 3.5 mm jack and a balanced 4.4 mm jack. This dual output not only exploits the DAC's balanced architecture to the full, but also allows it to be adapted to all usage scenarios.
Hidizs S8 Pro Robin : Low noise and distortion
The Hidizs S8 Pro Robin stands out for its very low noise and distortion measurements. The balanced output has a harmonic distortion of just 0.0006%, a signal-to-noise ratio of 128dB and crosstalk of 110dB. The unbalanced output has a harmonic distortion of 0.0005%, a signal-to-noise ratio of 125dB and a crosstalk of 74dB.
Hidizs S8 Pro Robin : Great flexibility of use
The S8 Pro Robin has a USB-C input, guaranteeing excellent compatibility with a wide range of platforms, including Windows, Mac OS, iPad OS, Android, iOS and Harmony OS.
