With the UP4 2022, Shanling offers an efficient, compact and modern portable headphone amplifier and DAC combo that will allow you to enjoy your music at home or on the go.
Dual ES9219C DAC
For its digital/analog conversion stage, the UP4 2022 integrates two ESS ES9219C DAC chips, allowing to enjoy a beautiful sound reproduction, while maintaining a stable heat release and limiting the power consumption to maintain a high autonomy.
Bluetooth 5.0
No more need for a cable between your source and the UP4 2022, this one is equipped with a Bluetooth 5.0 Qualcomm CSR8675 reception chip with active noise cancellation technology and 120MHz DSP. Thus, it becomes possible to broadcast its music to the UP4 2022 remotely, directly from a smartphone or a tablet for example. In addition, the UP4 2022 supports all high-resolution transmission codecs, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX LL, LHDC and LDAC, allowing for high quality sound reproduction.

Balanced & Single-ended output
The UP4 2022 is equipped with both a single-ended 3.5mm jack output and a balanced 2.5mm jack output. This makes it possible to connect any type of headphones to the UP4 2022. In balanced mode, the two ES9219C DACs are used in full synchronization, improving the channel separation and thus the sound image.
Several output modes
The Shanling UP4 2022 features a two-level gain control and a DAC Boost mode, allowing it to adapt to all types of headphones or earphones. In addition, it incorporates a selection of digital filters to adapt the sound reproduction of the device.
Boost Mode
With the Boost Mode function, usable with the single-ended output of the UP4 2022, you can enjoy a power boost that can increase the power from 71mW to 100mW under 32Ω.
Control application
The UP4 2022 can be easily controlled remotely from your smartphone using the free Eddict Player application. This app allows you to access Bluetooth settings, an equalizer and a precise volume control.
A consequent autonomy
With its 540mAh battery, the Shanling UP4 2022 ensures a good autonomy, amounting to 11.5h in single-ended playback, 9.5h in balanced playback and 300h in standby. Its recharge is also very fast, requiring only 2 hours for a full charge.

Selection of an operating mode and a filter
The different operating modes and filters of the Shanling UP4 can be accessed using the MODE button.
Short press: display the current mode
Double press: select a mode
- Blue : low gain
- Green : high gain
- Yellow : Dual DAC Boost Mode
Long press 3s: select a digital filter
- Blue : Linear phase fast roll-off
- Green : Linear phase slow roll-off
- Purple : Minimum phase fast roll-off
- Yellow : Minimum phase slow roll-off
