Thanks to the latest winding technologies, Mundorf is able to manufacture its MCap ZN capacitors from ultra-pure, RoHS-compliant tinfoil. In the past it was necessary to add lead in order to obtain the required flexibility of the foil for capacitor winding. However, lead had a negative influence on the signal tone.

Thus, lead-free tinfoil means, in addition to the positive environmental aspects, an improved noise characteristic. The high conductivity ensures a lively sound reproduction of music.

Finally, the mass inertia of the tin foil prevents oscillations, which ensures a beautiful transparency and spatiality.
