Mundorf MR10 Résistance Bobiné & film metal 10W 0.1 Ohm

Unlike conventional resistors, & film metal winding resistors have no residual inductance. Thus, in cases where impulse response is essential, in midrange frequencies for example, & film metal winding resistors are an excellent choice. Their design allows to dissipate a continuous power of 4 or 10W but they can support much more during a pulse.

Why is this so?
I used them with poor results in speaker crossovers. The cheaper generic white ones sounded better to my ears. A bit strange isn't it? Now I am using the monacor attenuator with great results and convenience.
