DLNA Airplay Bluetooth Network Player aptX DAC 2x ES9018Q2C 32bit 384kHz DSD256
After having proposed their flagship, the FDA AD18, SMSL returns and completes its range with the DP3 . We have here to do to a complete network player with many features and high performance. A network drive that will perfectly match the AD18 to have a versatile system.
For a smooth and streamlined experience, SMSL combines with the application Hiby Music, a player for high resolution files. By downloading it, you can enjoy the HibyLink experience via bluetooth. This will allow you to control your device and play files on your USB media directly from your smartphone.
With its IPS screen, the DP3 will allow you to easily access all the information concerning the reading of your files, and this via an ergonomic and aesthetic interface. An interface designed to offer a more fluid experience.
The SMSL DP3 will allow you to access the contents of USB disks / USB flash drives / SD cards connected to them, and to control their playback from the built-in screen, or via the Hiby Music application ( bluetooth link)
It also acts as Bluetooth receiver APT-X, for sending an audio stream from a phone for example.
It can also connect to your local network, both Ethernet but also Wifi to read shared files on a NAS, or provide DLNA / Airplay receiver function.
In network the reader proposes several protocols:
In order to adapt to all needs and uses, the DP3 has a complete range of connectors.
It will be found in outputs of Optics Toslink, Coaxial, AES (XLR) and RCA.
In addition, we also find in front two headphone outputs Jack 6.35mm and XLR 4 poles, the latter corresponding to a balanced output.
In terms of inputs, the DP3 offers a micro-usb port for connecting it to a computer.
The USB ports allow to address an external DAC (With XMOS interface, Amanero, CM6631 ...) or to connect a key / USB hard disk.
There will also be a front port to read his music from a Micro SD card.
The DP3 volume knob also controls the level of the line output.
The network drive therefore offers Bluetooth 4.0 for fast data transfer. The integrated chip supports the aptX protocol, which allows to increase the transfer rate but especially to make it more stable for a better quality audio reproduction. The device can behave as both receiver and transmitter. In reception it will act like a reading interface, in emission it will act simply like a digital plate.
The SMSL network reader is equipped with a double ES9018Q2C SABRE DAC from ESS. It provides a high-quality conversion that provides broad dynamic range, low distortion but also support high definition files up to 32bit in PCM and native DSD256. Of course, all popular formats are compatible with the device.
Connected in USB on a PC, you can use the DP3 as a classic DAC by reading files from your computer.
If the DP3 is adorned with a very good conversion chip, it also incorporates twoHigh precision clocks with very low phase noise, allowing the jitter to be lowered drastically. The heart of the device is a 22.579Mhz clock and a 24.576mHz clock. The jitter is thus lowered to 0.1ps @ 10Hz-1Mhz and the phase noise is below 166dBc / Hz @ 1Mhz. This design allows the device to maintain a high-precision signal for accurate reproduction.
The DP3 is supplied with its remote control.
The latter allows to control the SMSL DP3 without leaving the couch. Whether reading or navigating the menu (source selection, DSD reading type ... etc.)
It also has a programmable button that can be assigned to the command of his choice according to the specificities of his audio installation.
" The S.M.S.L DP3 is a device that you can quickly take advantage of, in particular, with a small adaptation, with the HiBy Link and you can only be pleased with its decoding capabilities and excellent sound performance. "
