The Audiophonics OPA1612 operational amplifier is based on an authentic Texas Instruments 1612 chip. This OPA provides very good electrical and audio performance. It provides a very low noise density of 1.1-nV/√Hz and an extremely low distortion level of 0.000015% at 1kHz. Furthermore, this OPA features rail-to-rail output switching at 600mV with a 2kΩ load, improving headroom and maximising dynamic range. This model also boasts a high output capacity of ±30mA.
It can be powered over a wide voltage range, from ±2.25V to ±18V, with a current of just 3.6mA per channel. This OPA has a stable unity gain, giving it excellent dynamics over a wide load range. In addition, the OPA1612's circuits are totally independent, to considerably limit crosstalk and interactions between channels.
The Audiophonics OPA1612 is mounted on a DIP8 bracket and can therefore be easily installed on a PCB with a connector of this type.
