Volumio, state-of-the-art audio software pre-installed

Unlike many network players based on an SBC such as Raspberry Pi, this player is already equipped with pre-installed audio software. It is therefore not necessary to have any Linux installation or Micro SD card flashing skills. The device is ready to use, all that is left to do is to connect it to your network and enjoy its full range of capabilities.

Volumio is a software package developed to offer a high-performance interface from an audio point of view, while remaining as comfortable and intuitive to use as any consumer solution. This software exploits the full hardware capabilities of the Raspberry Pi Compute, in particular its connectivity, since it offers the possibility to control the player from any device capable of connecting to a web browser (computer, smartphone, tablet or even another SBC... etc.). It is therefore very simple to choose music, change playback options or the volume level from anywhere, as long as the network connection exists.

To go even further and extend the device's capabilities, Volumio is also able to manage a WiFi hotspot, i.e. to establish an ad hoc network if the fixed network fails. This means on the one hand that the device will still be able to play your audio library even if your router / box fails, and on the other hand that this network player can be moved to be used in private network locations (an advantage in combination with its small size).

Aluminium Case

This Aluminium case has been specially designed by Allo to cover the USBridge Signature, protecting it from dust and shocks. Tightly stretched, the housing allows access to all the USBridge Signature connectors.
