Combining excellent performance with a reasonable price, the Dayton Audio Epique E150HE-PR passive radiator with carbon fiber diaphragm is the perfect companion for the MMAG subwoofers in the Epique range. Its carbon fiber diaphragm, custom-machined supension and cast aluminum bowl give this passive radiator a low resonant frequency (Fs), making it possible to use more compact speaker boxes.
When designing the E150HE-PR, Dayton Audio paid particular attention to optimizing the rubber suspension to ensure high linear excursion without limiting performance. Similarly, special care was taken with the spider.
The optimized profiles of the diaphragm and dome prevent distortion when the passive radiator is subjected to high stress, while considerably reducing distortion. Likewise, the sturdy cast-aluminum bowl is highly resistant to mechanical stress. Three discs allow perfect tuning of the passive radiator.
