Dayton Audio MKSX4 4x4 "(10cm) Subwoofer Low Profile
MKSX4 by Dayton Audio is a low profile passive subwoofer. It is suitable for home 2.1 channels compact home installation. Its simple design, ease of integration and small dimensions (15x35x41cm) make it an ideal choice for a low space-consumming home cinema installation.
The subwoofer operates through thanks to 4x high excursion 10cm speakers. These are integrated in crossed face to face in order to provide a consistent power while significantly limiting the parasitic vibrations. This configuration provides balanced sound with high power-handling (160W RMS).
Flexible Installation
The enclosure connects easily with two conventional terminals. These are compatible with most connectors kinds (bare swires, bananas, forks ...).
The device sensitivity is 88dB with a 4Ω impedance. This allows the speaker to be driven by almost any type of amplifier as long as it is equipped with a suitable sub outlet.
Vertical or horizontal placement
The MKSX4 has removable rubber feet that can be mounted both on length and width side.
This capability allows much finer and permissive integration depending on the room configuration. Positioned vertically near a corner of the room, the speaker will offer massive bass frequencies. Conversely, limited spaces will appreciate the possibility of positioning the enclosure behind or under furniture without significantly affecting accuracy.

The four speakers (10cm) are positioned in pairs on either side of the grid to develop considerable power with the 40-500Hz frequency while reducing vulnerability to unwanted vibrations that can result from inroom configuration. This increases the tolerance of the chamber while limiting speaker placement issue. .
